THE 2015 AACDD BARGEHOUSE FESTIVAL
Launched in 2010 with co-funding from Arts Council Englands, the festival has been funded by the London based British European Design Group since 2013 - Generously and actively supported with time and effort by AACDD artists and designers, as well as the wider community, who contribute to its continued existence.
Now in its sixth year, East Meets West Design Week takes great privilege in congratulating African And Caribbean Design Diaspora for their tremendous work and welcoming them to the Global Art Trail on Day 2 of this years inaugural event.
As the only non-commercial event of its kind, the AACDD Initiative has evolved into a serious platform for the outstanding creative talent and diversity of the UK's largely unrecognised and underrepresented community of artists and designers of black and mixed race origin.
The event draws to a close at 9pm tonight giving everyone in town an opportunity to visit the BargeHouse Festival at The Oxo Tower (follow the link for more information and directions) from where you can also see renown Jamaican photographer Charlie Phillips giving a Retrospective on his work from 3-4pm.
The following artists a few of the many artists on the festival line up. Please make some to support the artists by viewing their websites, leave messages of encouragement and make a purchase from their Art shops.
