The 13th edition of Frieze London takes place in The Regent’s Park, London from 14–17 October 2015.

Unrivalled in quality, range and depth, Frieze London 2015 provides a discerning perspective on contemporary art, utilising the expertise of lead- ing curators including Nicola Lees (Curator, 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana), Clare Lilley (Director of Programme, Yorkshire Sculpture Park) and Gregor Muir (Executive Director, ICA, London) across its feature sections and programme.
From the emerging to the iconic
For the 13th edition, 164 galleries from 27 countries will present the work of some of today’s most significant and exciting contemporary artists.
In the main section, solo presentations include Camille Henrot (Galerie Kamel Mennour, Paris); Chris Martin (Anton Kern Gallery, New York); Ken Okiishi (Pilar Corrias, London); Xu Qu (Almine Rech Gallery, London) and Mary Weatherford (David Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles) while, return- ing to Frieze London, Simon Lee Gallery (London) presents a sequence of three specially conceived solo presentations by Valerie Snobeck, Toby Ziegler and Heimo Zobering, changing the stand over the course of the fair. Other notable presentations include 42 sculptures on a forest of plinths (Hauser & Wirth, London), new works made by artists in dialogue with architect Luis Barragán’s iconic House and Studio in Mexico City (Taka Ishii Gallery, Tokyo) and a stand dedicated to Abraham Cruzvillegas and Jimmie Durham (kurimanzutto, Mexico City) – both of whom will have significant exhibitions at London institutions during the fair.
Evolving into the definitive destination for young galleries, the Focus section, advised by curators Raphael Gygax (Migros Museum, Zurich) and Jacob Proctor (Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society, University of Chica- go), offers a chance to discover exciting emerging talents. Solo stands include ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼an historic installation by recently rediscovered Polish artist Maria Pininska-Beres (David Radziszweski, Warsaw); a new film installation by Amie Siegel, developing the themes of her 2014 presentation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Simon Preston, New York); a floor-based ‘water relief ’ by young UK talent Samara Scott (The Sunday Painter, London) and a multifaceted ceramic presentation by another up-and-coming British artist, Jesse Wine (Limoncello, London).
The Live section develops from its critically acclaimed debut to encompass varied formats, including: portrait sittings with an humorous outcome by Ken Kagami (Misako & Rosen, Tokyo); an auditorium-based choreography by Edward Thomasson & Lucy Beech (Southard Reid, London); a re-enact- ment of Xifopagas Capilares (1984), a rare work by Tunga (Galeria Franco No- ero, Turin and Luhring Augustine, New York) and an intimate, installation- based encounter by Amalia Ulman (Arcadia Missa, London). For the first time, Live is also curated by Raphael Gygax and Jacob Proctor.
The Frieze Sculpture Park 2015 comprises 16 new and historical works, set in the English Gardens between Frieze Masters and Frieze London. Se- lected by Clare Lilley (Director of Programme, Yorkshire Sculpture Park) and with free public access, the Frieze Sculpture Park gives visitors to The Regent’s Park a rare opportunity to encounter exceptional sculpture and installation art by international artists in the open air.
Works for 2015 include: Lock (1976-7), a major installation by Richard Serra, which Peter Freeman (New York) will be shown for the first time publicly since it was exhibited at the Whitney Museum in 1976; Anri Sala’s Holey Wall (Should I Stay or Should I Go) (2014-15), together with live performances originally commissioned for the 12th Havana Biennial (Galerie Chantal Crousel, Paris & Marian Goodman Gallery, London); a new solar-powered sound and light work by Haroon Mirza (Lisson Gallery, London); Earth Play (1979), Seung-Taek Lee’s monumental balloon model of the earth (Gallery Hyundai, Seoul); Open Screen (2014) by Carol Bove (David Zwirner, London) and an impressive 11th-14th Century AD pre-Ekoi mono- lith from Western Africa (Didier Claes, Brussels).
For the third year the Art Fund, the national fundraising charity for art, will develop a dedicated app for the Sculpture Park with detailed information on each of the sculptures and an audio guide by curator Clare Lilley.
Frieze Talks is a series of daily conversations, lectures and panel discussions taking place in the Auditorium at Frieze London. This year, the programme is co-curated for the first time by Christy Lange (Associate Editor, frieze) and Gregor Muir (Executive Director of the ICA, London).
Gregor Muir said: ‘This year’s Frieze Talks mixes radical dissent with a focus on emerging artistic practice’. On Wednesday 14th, Frieze Talks 2015 kicks off with Cuban artist and activist Tania Bruguera giving her first public address in the UK since her detention by Cuban authorities; and artist and nov- elist Douglas Coupland, author of Generation X comes together with Emily Segal, co-founder of trend forecasting group K-HOLE in a talk called ‘Ener- gy as Clickbait’. Thursday features New York-based artist Anicka Yi, while Adrian Searle (Critic, The Guardian) is joined by four prominent curators from institutions around the world in a panel entitled ‘The New Museums: Coming Soon To A City Near You’. On Friday 16th October, graphic design studio Metahaven, who devised visual identities for WikiLeaks and Sealand, preview exclusive imagery from their latest project, in conversation with Justin McGuirk from London’s Design Museum; and Justin Simons, Head of Culture for the Mayor of London, chairs a panel discussion which addresses the question ‘Can artists still afford to work in London?’
Frieze London’s non-profit curated programme, Frieze Projects is supported byLUMA Foundation, with additional support by Arts Council England. For her third edition, Curator Nicola Lees responds to the fair architecture with commissions which draw visitors into temporary, mobile and evolving environments which transform, subvert and interact with the social, struc- tural and cultural dynamics of the fair. Creating hidden spaces, moments of respite and intrigue and secret worlds just adjacent to reality, the seven participants in Frieze Projects at Frieze London 2015 are: ÅYR; Lutz Bacher; castillo/corrales; Thea Djordjadze; Jeremy Herbert; Asad Raza and Rachel Rose, winner of the 2015 Frieze Artist Award. The Auditorium will see pre- mieres of four commissions for Frieze Film from: Charles Atlas; Xavier Cha; Gery Georgieva and Thirteen Black Cats. Supported by Channel 4’s Ran- dom Acts, the commissions will be broadcast on Channel 4. Frieze Music returns in 2015 for one night only with a large-scale audio-visual installation and performance by the collaborative project 18+, co-commissioned with The Vinyl Factory.
Frieze Artist Award
The winner of the second Frieze Artist Award, also supported by LUMAFoundation and which invites an artist to create a site-specific artwork at Frieze London under the auspices of Frieze Projects, is Rachel Rose. Based in New York, Rose will create a scale-model of the fair structure, in which lighting and sound design will simulate the sonic and visual sense frequencies of animals inhabiting The Regent’s Park. Concurrent with the fair, Rose is the subject of a solo exhibition at London’s Serpentine Gallery (1st October — 8th November 2015).
Presented with BMW and curated by Cecilia Alemani, Frieze Sounds ac- tivates the fair visitor’s experience through sound. Commissions by Alicja Kwade, Xaviera Simmons and Sergei Tcherepnin are made accessible at a listening station located in the Frieze London BMW 7 Series Lounge.

Champagne Pommery once again recognise creativity by generously spon- soring the 2015 Stand Prize. The £10,000 prize is awarded to the most inno- vative gallery stand at the fair and is judged this year by international curators: Maria Balshaw, Director, the Whitworth, Manchester; Bart van der Heide, Chief Curator, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam and Jens Hoffmann, Deputy Director and Head of Exhibitions and Public Programs, Jewish Museum, New York.
Visitors to Frieze London will find Caravan and Caravan-To-Go, offering a specially devised menu and cocktail list which adapts its ‘well-travelled’ food philosophy for the fair. Well-loved partners Brunswick House; Company Drinks; GAIL’s Artisan Bakery; The Juice Well and Pizza Pilgrims return to the fair, while Ibérica, brigning authentic Spanish cuisine to the VIP room, and Petersham Nurseries, recreating their iconic restaurant and café, are new for 2015.
This year at Frieze London we are proud to introduce the Reading Room. This new concept creates a space for visitors to browse and buy a curated selection of the world’s best arts publications in a newly enhanced area specially designed by our architects. Participating publications including the Financial Times; frieze; Monocle; ArtReview + ReviewAsia; Artforum; The Art Newspaper; Even; The White Review and other guest publications will host an exciting schedule of events in the Reading Room, offering visitors opportunities to meet with editors and contributors in a series of informal encounters.
Allied Editions, an unique artist’s editions collective, returns to Frieze London in a new location, presenting specially commissioned works of art from as lit- tle as £40. Featuring Camden Arts Centre; Chisenhale Gallery; Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA); South London Gallery; Studio Voltaire; Serpen- tine Galleries and Whitechapel Gallery, a regional organisation participates for the first time in the form of Glasgow International. Allied Editions will host a programme of special events during the fair, including book signings and guest art advisors. An essential way to raise vital income, proceeds directly support the organisations’ public exhibitions and education projects.

British Artist: Fru Kenworthy-Browne’ interest lies in what others choose to discard, prompting the title - Imperfect Beauty and the theme for her latest collection of artworks.
A first class graduate of London College of Communication in 2013, Fru’ work originates solely from found objects; the results hover between graphic design and fine art.
In this ongoing series, a huge, rescued collection of vintage matchbook covers have been painstakingly deconstructed, jumbled up and reconstructed, with short verbal compositions that play with interpretation. Rather than hide their origins as matchbook covers, Fru has reproduced them as vastly oversized, identifiable pieces. The colours and degradation through age and wear adds a richness of texture and tonality for each reassembled matchbook cover.
Fru explains that “enlarging these tiny collages through photography has allowed incredible detail to emerge, from paper irregularities, stains and creases to colour bleed on lettering and wispy frays on the edges. These elements have enhanced the beauty of unnoticed detail and obvious tattiness, which are two of the main inspiration instigators for this body of work.” Each reinvented matchbook has been edited pixel by pixel to reveal these imperfections, further enriched when exposed onto their stark white backgrounds.
Fru Kenworthy-Browne lives and works in London. Her multidisciplinary practice includes collage, printmaking, photography and stop motion filmmaking. The matchbook series is available in various sizes as limited edition prints.

The novelist Jackie Collins has died of breast cancer at the age of 77, her family said in a statement.
"It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one-of-a-kind mother," the statement said.
The British-born writer, sister of actress Joan Collins, died in Los Angeles, her spokeswoman said.
Collins's career spanned four decades and she sold more than 500 million books in 40 countries.
The family statement said the writer lived "a wonderfully full life", adored by family, friends and readers.
"She was a true inspiration, a trailblazer for women in fiction and a creative force. She will live on through her characters but we already miss her beyond words," it added.
Collins was diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer six-and-a-half years ago, according to US celebrity magazine People.
Scandalous bestsellerHer sister Joan, 82, told People magazine she was "completely devastated".
"She was my best friend. I admire how she handled this. She was a wonderful, brave and a beautiful person and I love her," she said.
Jackie Collins began writing as a teenager, making up racy stories for her schoolfriends, according to a biography on her website.
Her first novel, The World is Full of Married Men, was published in 1968 and became a scandalous bestseller. It was banned in Australia and branded "disgusting" by romance writer Barbara Cartland.
In 1985, her novel Hollywood Wives was made into a mini-series by ABC, starring Anthony Hopkins and Candice Bergen.
In a 2011 interview with the Associated Press, Collins said that she "never felt bashful writing about sex".
"I think I've helped people's sex lives," she said.
"Sex is a driving force in the world so I don't think it's unusual that I write about sex. I try to make it erotic, too."

The concept of my work is chance, evolving, I make a sequence of 3 or 5 works in a certain style and motion and like to reinvent myself taking some technique’s to the next level, I don’t feel to belong in a specific area like contemporary, abstract or conceptual art, I like to leave that opinion to the art lover looking at my work. I know what I give but not what is received. By meditation and emptying my mind I become the stillness of my empty canvas, it lets me flow, the end result is already there in a sense of the subconscious mind.
Just being aware of awareness, consciousness, love and kindness, just to be is enough to expose what becomes!!
Music is always around on that moment of painting, the natural rhythm of painting on a subconsciously state of being, supporting the becoming of art by color, perspective and composition, any slow kind of blue note soul jazz or lounge jazz makes things happen, so subconscious and consciousness become one not influenced by the hasty rhythm of the world.
I have attended many Art events all over the world, received awards and sold my work mainly in other country like the United States, England, Norway, France, Portugal, South Africa and many more country.

Gareth Pugh English-born fashion designer Gareth Pugh has received global recognition for his approach to redefining modern luxury. Educated at London’s Central Saint Martins, Pugh’s clothes have been described as wearable sculptures – experimental forms, volumes and fabrics are all signature to his ever evolving style. A textural mash up where trash bags, Perspex and PVC meet luxury silk, fur and cashmere.
Pugh made his London Fashion Week debut in February 2005, as part of the Fashion East line-up. His first solo show at London Fashion Week came in 2006, with Topshop NEWGEN sponsorship. In 2007 he was invited to present his work as part of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Fashion In Motion showcase. It was around this time that the designer’s collections began to garner the highest critical phase. “An incredible, unmissable show... his genius is undeniable,” said British Vogue of his Spring/Summer 2007 collection. In July 2008, the designer won the ANDAM Fashion Award, presenting his first show in Paris the following September. He went on to present his first menswear collection in Paris in January 2009.
The designer’s clothes are stocked internationally and in August 2010, he opened his first flagship store in Hong Kong. In January 2011, Pugh was invited to be the guest designer at Italian trade show Pitti, where he presented a special collection via large-scale video installation, created with director Ruth Hogben. A leading proponent of fashion film and new technology, in September 2014 Pugh replaced his entire Spring/Summer 2015 show with a live immersive event in a 125,000 sq. ft. space in New York City's Lower East Side. The presentation - which employed a mix of film, music, sculpture and dance - was met with widespread critical acclaim and contributed to an ongoing dialogue regarding the relevance of the traditional runway format.
Pugh has worked with some of the world’s most innovative artists and respected institutions, and recently returned to the world of theatre and dance in an ongoing collaboration with feted choreographer Wayne McGregor at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. He has also worked with some of the most popular artists of our time, including Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. He continues to collaborate with the leading editorial and creative forces in the fashion and entertainment industries

Art House is a documentary with beautiful footage and scenery featuring the works of the late artist Wharton Esherick, which have been left in situ since his passing in 1970.
WHARTON ESHERICK was an Impressionist painter who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Sculptor and father of the current studio-furniture movement built his studio and home in Chester County, near Philadelphia in three stages. From 1921 to 1941 and then in 1966.
Wharton made (and decorated) absolutely everything possible, imaginatively drawing on the landscape around him, using the local wood and stone, constructing outbuildings, crafting furniture, carving utensils, a testament to the artist's dramatic vision.
"If you want to know me, look at my work," he once said. The artist died in 1970. His Heirs and hundreds of friends have kept the studio intact: everything is polished and dusted, the landscape is still wooded and open to the public.

The Design Week Team
I am dedicated to a deep and intuitive exploration of life, by uniting newer light, digital and interactive technologies with fine art (painting and sculpture). I founded www.movinglightart.com in January 2014 in collaboration with technical designer Geoff Blindt to enable an optimal fusion of fine art with technology.
With a professional background in healthcare and mental health, and an interest in human health and well-being, I lead on artistic and creative innovation. The result is a versatile art medium that transforms architectural surfaces into stunning live performances with dynamic light effects that respond to people’ movements.
By combining low energy lighting, optical sculptures, painting, kinetics, digital photography projection, interactive digital programming and sound, the resulting installation compels attention, creating an infinitely changing, interactive, uplifting, inspiring immersive light and colour experience. I also create smaller pieces and experiential photos of the sculptural light art. I collaborate with different professionals to develop different aspects of the work.
I am intrigued by the properties of light, colour, energy and texture within the natural world. Consider the flow of water and the movements of the sun and the moon as they transform the sky from day to night, and how this reflects the inner journey of being human. The very sense that nothing seems stable all too often results in doubt and uncertainty. My pieces speak of what it is to be human and express a deeper nature of reality by connecting with life's rhythmic waves and colours to explore the certain continuum of life and its eternal evolving cycles. The installations are an invitation to the viewer to experience a world of connectedness, luminous flow, and calm, comforted by the eternal constancy that transcends all things.
Both within my own art practice and my workshop facilitation, I seek to enable connectedness and illumination through aligning with the invisible, interconnected rhythmic communication that permeates all things. I work with immersive, interactive and multi-disciplinary collaborative experiences to enable direct experience of this. By flowing from one medium or approach to the next, relationship, unexpected creative flow and dialogue may be enabled. Movement, emergence, and discovery may be facilitated, potentially enabling expression and connection where it had previously been disabled.
In addition to ongoing development of new bodies of work, both large and small, I am a tutor at The Art Academy, London, offer innovative interactive workshop experiences for businesses, charities, and groups, and private tutoring. My works are collected in the UK, Europe and USA and reside in both public and private collections. They are currently on display at the Art Academy, Hospice of St Francis Berkhamsted, and Trinity United Reformed Church, St Albans. They were recently showcased at Wac Arts, e-Luminate, the Barbican and Womad.
I recently successfully obtained a substantial Arts Council Grant to fund a residency at Wac Arts, London, during which I had two shows (one solo and one in collaboration with the young people) and facilitated eight workshops for disabled young people.
